Hanumanthappa , A real man!

Thank you Hanumanthappa… Your bravery leaves the greatest teaching of all – United we stand, divided we fall!!

In an environment when people are being divided by religion, caste and creed to satisfy the greed of a few anti-nationals, for a brief time you bought all together.
For a few days we all together prayed for your speedy recovery.
For a few moments people forgot their differences.

I salute you.. As you march out of this world having successfully completed the task that we civilians forget, but the army keeps alive – protect the unity and identity of your country against internal and external terror.

Hope the sound of your martyrdom reaches the psychologically deaf people who stand to divide us.

Proud to call myself Indian, because through your story I experienced  real Patriotism!!

Your work has been done, as we mourn your going, we ask you to Rest in Peace!!

Jai Hind!!

Have you ever wondered what your soul purpose is? It’s a concept that ignites the curiosity within each of us. We have this longing to know what we’re “supposed” to be doing; some people seem to know what they want to do with their life from a young age, while others go years and years without ever “finding” it.

In my experience in working with my clients, I’ve found that those who suffered from the deepest forms of depression were not the ones who experienced the most profound traumas, but the ones who felt they had lost their sense of purpose in life, regardless of their age. This seems to hold as true for teenagers and young adults as it does for those in their middling years. Dictionary.com defines “purpose” as: “A reason for which something exists or is done, made, used etc.” Accordingly, to search for one’s purpose means to search for one’s reason for existing on this earth.

As humans, we have a deep need to belong and to be loved. When we live our soul purpose, our lives have color, passion, and a sense of belonging again.

Stop Searchingwhat-is-your-intention-soul-twin-flame-awaken-L-ffYeac

You’re never going to “find” your soul purpose. It isn’t written on a piece of paper somewhere or on the agenda of a cosmic contractor that assigned you to Earth for a specific purpose. Your answer lies within you, not without.

When you believe it lies somewhere external, you disempower yourself because this belief implies that another needs to “give” or “assign” you your purpose. This isn’t the case. You choose to give your life its purpose.

The process of remembering your soul purpose is introspective in nature. When you realize that, you find your inner source of power.

Choose To Thrive Or Survive.

Decide right now if you’re here on this earth to thrive or to survive. There is no in between. You live each day with an intention, and every day you choose to merely survive or to grow, evolve, and thrive. This choice will be the foundation of your purpose.

Accept A Purpose

liberty_of_soul_by_veinsofmercury-d646fqkIf you’re on this step, that means that you’ve given yourself a purpose! If you’ve chosen to “thrive,” it means that every decision you make from now on should improve your existence in one way or another.

Step back and have a look at your life. Do the people around you make you happy? Do your relationships with them uplift you most of the time? Or are they toxic?

Do you love your career? Are you passionate about your hobbies? If it’s helpful, make a list of your daily routine.

Start with what you do when you wake up in the morning and beside each activity, make a check mark as to whether or not it makes you a happier, healthier, better version of you or not. This step is all about awareness, not judgment, or even action.

Discover Your Passionconnecting_with_my_soul

This is the fun part! When you’re passionate about something, hours will pass by without you realizing it. Doing things that you’re passionate about energize you, they don’t drain you. They excite you, they don’t obligate you.

Think back to what you liked to do as a child. When you have at least three things that you love to do… DO THEM! This week, make time to do what you’re passionate about. Reignite the spark.

While you’re doing the activity, feel the passion and let it contrast with your “normal” feelings. Remember why you love these activities in the first place.

Make Your Passions Your Priority!

No one else is going to rearrange your schedule for you to make sure you’re doing what you love to do. Ensure that you’re spending at least 1-2 hours per week doing something you’re passionate about. These activities make you feel alive. Commit to fitting your passions into your schedule.

Expect Blocks Along The Way

aasoulIt is at this point in the process where you will encounter the most resistance. You’ll likely experience fear, a sense of unworthiness, and lack of motivation.

You may also notice a lack of support from loved ones. Don’t get caught in the inner and outer drama. Your only job here is to commit to the cause and persevere – the obstacles are a normal part of the process.

If you didn’t have any at all, you’d be living your dreams already! Don’t let the resistance and fear outweigh your desire for achievement.

Practice Makes Perfect

Here’s where a lot of people get stuck. They expect to be expert authors, painters, or athletes as soon as they start living it. If it’s your passion, practice isn’t going to feel like work. It will be fun.

With enough time and experience, you’ll embody that all-star player you visualized. Don’t let the initial difficulties discourage you. Power through them and learn from these challenges instead of letting them defeat you.

*Note: These steps don’t take a lifetime to carry out. Don’t allow yourself to dwell on any step for longer than a day or two!

I hope that the steps outlined above have given you clarity and direction on how to assign yourself purpose, remember your passion, and live it out. If you’re living your passion and have helpful advice that you’d like to share, post it in the comments below!

Everyone dreams; those that live theirs, choose to.

Dates are rich in fiber which is vital for proper digestion. They have a high natural sugar content that makes them a great alternative for ordinary sugar. Besides from being easily metabolized, they’re also filling and satisfy hunger. Due to their richness in nutrients, dates are a great fruit choice for both children and adults. In addition, they have been found to be very beneficial in the treatment of various conditions and illnesses like anemia, high cholesterol, and even cancer.

dates health

Rich in Iron

The ability of dates to treat anemia is due to their richness in iron. 100 g dates contain about 0.90 g iron, which accounts for about 11% of the recommended daily intake. Iron plays a vital role in transferring oxygen in the blood. This makes dates a great snack for teenagers and pregnant women since they need more iron.

Rich in Eye Vitamins

Dates contain lutein and zeaxantine, which is why they are often referred to as ‘eye vitamins.’ Lutein and zeaxantine are famous as being highly beneficial for the eye retina and macula since they improve the eyesight and prevent any possible damage to the macula, which deteriorates with age. Eating more dates could improve your eyesight.

Treat Diarrhea

Dates contain calcium, which is a mineral that’s used for diarrhea treatment. Dates can also do wonders for the renewal of the gut flora. Regular consumption of dates will stimulate the proliferation of good bacteria in the intestines.

Help Constipation

Besides being able to help against diarrhea, they can also stimulate good digestion and eliminate toxins from the body. If you suffer from constipation, just leave a few dates in a glass of water overnight. The dates will release their juice during the night. This juice is a great laxative, and will help the function of the intestines. Dates can also stimulate your metabolism because they have high fiber content – 100 g dates contain 8.5 g fiber.

Facilitate Delivery

The Jordan University for Science and Technology conducted an experiment which showed that consuming dates on a regular basis, starting 4 weeks before the due date, can alleviate pain and reduce the bleeding. According to the study, women who consumed dates had much easier deliveries as opposed to women that did not eat this fruit. Additionally, dates help women get through the postpartum depression more easily and produce enough milk for the baby.

Regulates Weight

Dates will give you a feeling of satiety and actually stimulate weight loss because they contain many nutrients. Eating a date on an empty stomach will regulate the work of your intestines, and also your blood sugar levels. However, don’t forget that although dates don’t contain cholesterol, they do contain plenty of sugar, and excessive consumption will lead to weight gain (1 kg dates contains 3,000 calories).

benefits of dates

Strengthen the Heart

People with weak heart are advised to consume dates on a regular basis because they have also shown to be beneficial for heart conditions. Leave some dates in a glass of water overnight and blend the dates and the water in the morning. You can drink this several times during the day.

Reduce Hypertension

Dates contain little sodium, but they are quite rich in calcium. A serving of 5-6 dates contains nearly 80 mg magnesium, which is a crucial mineral for blood vessel dilatation. According to research, 370 mg magnesium per day can effectively reduce blood pressure.

Stroke Prevention

Dates are also rich in potassium, which makes them beneficial for maintaining a healthy nervous system. According to studies, sufficient potassium consumption (about 400 mg per day) may reduce the risk of stroke by up to 40%.

Food for the Brain

Dates contain phosphorus, which is great for the brain.

Boost your energy

If you combine dates with milk you will get the maximum amount of natural sugars that this fruit contains (including glucose, sucrose and fructose) and boost your energy.

Increase your Libido

If you want to increase your sexual drive, soak a few dates in some goat milk and leave them overnight. In the morning, mix the fruit and the milk, add some honey and cardamom and drink the mixture. This combination is equally beneficial for both men and women because it increases the energy level and strengthens the body.

People function in different ways, have different habits and rituals, and even the most similar people on the planet have some “little thing” that makes them different from one another and singles them out as individuals. But despite the fact that people are so different and individuals, they all have one thing in common – their thoughts.

Everyone, as an individual, acts on their thoughts and directs them in the wanted direction, but what many do not know is that the way we think affects the way we function, because our thoughts are very strong and their effect is very powerful.

A lot of people have a problem with thinking and contemplating, and many of them fall under their influence, almost to the extent that their own thoughts make them think all the time, so many have a problem with sleeping and resting, simply because their thoughts don’t allow them. Many people become influenced by other people’s thoughts and opinions, and adopt them as their own.

It is interesting that when people find themselves at a given moment that they don’t like, most of them begin to think in a negative direction and contemplate the negative effects. But this only causes anxiety and stress, and makes it difficult to resolve any situation.

Everyone chooses the direction their thought will go to and this is an individual right, a personal freedom and choice. Just like the after-effect of those thoughts. But think a little bit about yourself, about your thoughts and the consequences that will sooner or later come out as a result of your thoughts, because they will materialize after a while and become a reality

If you have negative thoughts, you should know that the consequences will be negative, because the law of the universe, nature and God works on the principle of giving and receiving, and your thoughts are directly associated with the Universe and the Universe materializes them and brings them closer to you.

positive thinking

You can think any way you want, but try to be stable in your own thoughts, do not let a bad moment take you on a negative road of thinking, because you can replace the negative and bad thoughts with ones that are positive, beautiful and smart. You just need to look at things and events from a different angle, and things will change.

Smart and good thoughts will cause a positive change. Smart and beautiful thoughts will enrich your life, smart and good thoughts will strengthen your faith and give you strength, intelligence, good thoughts will give you wisdom, maturity and intelligence, and good thoughts will open your horizons and perspectives, smart and beautiful thoughts trigger positive energy, and sooner or later the Universe will materialize the smart and beautiful thoughts and send them back to you.

Smart and good thoughts will push you to do good deeds, to live positively, to be a better person, to spiritually elevate, to be spiritually stronger. Smart and good thoughts can change your life and enrich it. Be smart and let your thoughts be smart and beautiful, because then your life will become a lot better.

There are no wrongs and there are no rights. There are only experiences and these experiences leave meaningful lessons. If you are closing a chapter in your life or struggling to find momentum, know that when everything goes wrong….

Pain Helps You Grow

As the old saying goes, what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger. But before this strength can emerge, you must accept your pain.

Each time a tragic event occurs that you think you can’t handle, it is common to try to remove yourself from it altogether. But each time you do this, you leave a piece of yourself behind. When you disassociate yourself with your pain, you cause a split to occur within you. Commonly known as soul splitting.

By embracing your pain and bringing it within to heal, you empower your own growth.

We grow most through difficult experiences, so embrace it. Let the darkness shape you, let it reform you, let it cradle you and birth you into a new life and a new way of being.

Your Biggest Fears Are an Illusion

Fear will only go as far as you let it. You are always the one in control, so take control! What you resist persists; by avoiding what you fear, it will only grow.

The more you focus on fearful things, the more you put yourself in vibrational alignment with them. As we know the opposite of love is fear, and so when you dwell in fear, you are rejecting love.

The essence of love is acceptance. Accepting all things as they come, as they are and as they will be.

Fear is the largest illusion one will face. An illusion of the ego, a slight of hand, to contain you in lower consciousness, a state of action and reaction– the survival instinct that man must evolve beyond.

10 Ways to Stop Negative Thoughts From Affecting Your HealthIf you think about it, the largest fears we face can be summed up to the fear of the unknown. Whether it be of death, loss or the future. We live in the world everyday not knowing what the world will bring us around the next corner.

But what is fear? Fear is only an emotion. An emotion that has transpired from your own thought forms. By practicing awareness, you can learn how to separate yourself from your own thoughts and emotions. You are not your emotions. You are not your thoughts. You are the observer.

F.E.A.R= False Emotions Appearing Real

Nothing Lasts Forever

When the darkness passes, the light emerges. When life seems to be gliding smoothly along, enjoy it. When your troubles come your way, embrace them. Every ending is a new beginning.

Even the small struggles are a step forward

In the pursuit of happiness, patience does not mean waiting. Patience is continually working hard on your dreams and keeping a positive attitude.

Achieving your dreams isn’t easy, it can come with sacrifices in your relationships, a lot of time alone and dealing with others who just don’t understand.

It’s a test of your determination. Just how bad do you want it? If you want it bad enough you’ll do anything. You’ll discover that you are no longer walking the path, you are paving the way and it’s worth it.

Good and Bad is a matter of Perspective

Life is not black and white, no matter how hard you try to make it that way. Its more like 50 shades of grey. It may seem unfair in some instances, when things happen you wished you could change. But you will see in time, that everything happens for a reason, and nothing happens by chance.

Lonely-girl-sun-rise-natural-hd-wallpaperThe idea of what is good and bad, right and wrong are moral guidelines you identify with to ensure at the end of the day, you can lay down in your bed at night and say “I’m a good person”.

People aren’t good or bad, there are things we can do that are hurtful to others and ourselves, or things that we can do that are loving to others and ourselves. When we identify with good and bad, right and wrong we become attached to the idea and cage ourselves.

You are free.

Change What You Can Change

You can’t change the experiences you’ve had, but you can change the way you feel about them. By changing your perspective, you can change how you relate to the experiences in your life.

Be Kind to Yourself

Accept that you are doing the best you can and it is good enough. We tend to be our worst critics and by 21 signs of a blocked throat chakra and how to clear itaccepting ourselves we release the need for others to accept us.

Great Things Take Time

If you immediately manifested your every desire instantly by thought, then there would be no reason to incarnate. The soul grows the most during physical incarnation.

Instant gratification becomes stale and boring. We are here to experience the joy of anticipation, patience and commitment. All the while growing stronger in confidence.

Instant results are rarely the best results.  With patience, you can greatly expand your potential.  If your desires were always fulfilled immediately, you would have nothing to look forward to.  You would miss out on the joys of anticipation and progress.

Value that comes in an instant is gone just as fast. Value that takes your time and commitment to create will outlive the creator himself.

Life is an Adventure

These 10 Things Will Happen When You Step Out of Your Comfort ZoneTaking risks helps you grow and trying new things enhances your creativity. Success isn’t achieved without discomfort and by venturing this route you will challenge yourself.

Step out of your comfort zone. If it’s scary and exciting… DO IT!

Have Humility

Generally, it is said that humility relates to the ability to be humble or having a clear perspective and respect for one’s place in context.

But what isn’t mentioned, is that humility comes from humiliation. The  feeling of humiliation can be one of the hardest to cope with.

But with humility comes the understanding that things really aren’t as big as you make them out to be. You should never feel ashamed for anything. Love yourself, forgive yourself and accept that although you may have gone through hell and back, you are worthy. Don’t be so hard on yourself!

You are a beautiful human being, inside and out.

The meaning of life is… This.

I’m not pulling your leg.

This right here – What’s happening right now – This is the meaning of life.

What about helping others?help each other

What about love?

What about growing as a person?

Those things will never happen outside of now. They are part of this. So is reading thisarticle, biting your lip, and that itch you have juuuust about now.

A related question is “why do we exist?”

We exist because existence itself, now, the Tao, God, willed us into existence – We in the sense of being our separated minds.

In the deepest sense, “I am”. My words trickling out of me – my mind – This is existence itself. This.

Everything that is, is part of this. You can create your own version of the meaning of life and it will be part of this.

I will forget about this. You will forget about this – Most of life we go through a haze, where we’ve forgotten it. In a way, that is the essence of the human experience – Forgetting that you are everything, or to put it in Alan Watts’ words, “…playing that you weren’t God”.

You and I both will have moments of clarity; moments where you stop and suddenly see something that wasn’t there a moment ago – Like a different dimension of thought that momentarily presented itself to you.

You feel the residues of that moment of clarity and know that you remembered something you’ve always known, you laugh a bit at how silly you’ve been for forgettingthis and at how you thought this life could be anything but profound and beautiful. Then you forget.

Every time, however, the residue of those moments of clarity leaves an impression on you. It leaves the impression in the form of some fatty coating called myelin around your axons – A very unspiritual thing to say. The point is that every time you have that moment of clarity – Those moments where you see THIS – Life becomes just a little more calm, serene, beautiful, meaningful and all those other soothing adjectives.

The way to get these moments of clarity – where you are deeply present in this – is to train yourself to see things as they are.

See things as they are.

Not as you judge them to be. Not as you’d like them to be. As they are.

I want to leave you with a quote from a mind that really had it nailed down – Lao Tzu. This quote suggests that what you’ve just read is not the ultimate truth.

“The Tao that can be named is not the eternal Tao”

Stay Positive & Stay Blessed!

With each chapter you close in your life, comes the end of an old and the beginning of a new. These chapters are what we call cycles. If you are in tune with these cycles, you can feel the shift coming. They normally come in 7 year intervals, meaning that at age 7,14,21,28.35 and 42 (etc) you will have completed 6 cycles.

Each cycle ends with both positive and negative attributes, as well as hard lessons and immense growth. Upon each ending, you will notice the energies amping up. Everything around you may shift dramatically at the close of a volatile cycle, or fizzle out smoothly depending on which milestone you have accomplished.

Take a moment, look back on your life and try to remember the major events that surrounded these age markers and notice these major milestones. Can you see the pattern?

Once you do, you can prepare yourself for the next transition. Each cycle ends with a period of reflection. This is where the should have, could have and would have’s come up. And to ensure that you reach your final cycle with a clear conscious, here are 50 Ways to Live Life Without Regrets.

40. Think for Yourself

Throughout your life, you have been told how others think things should be done. The way they have been done and should still be done. But each of us think differently, uniquely, so be unique. The way you view the world is different from every other person on the planet. So think for yourself, your piece to the puzzle may just be the one that solves the riddle.

39. Find Your Passion

compassion_2What is it that really gets that fire burning in your heart? What makes you tick? Grab a pen and a piece of paper, write down all of your interests since you were young. “Don’t worry about what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive and do that, because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” – Howard Thurman

38. Do What You Love

If money were no object, what would you like to do? How would you really enjoy spending your life? If you think that getting money is the most important thing you will spend your life completely wasting your time.

If you truly like what you do, eventually you will master it and at some point you will make money from it.

Do what you love first, the money will follow.

37. Face Your Fears

When you let fear interfere with your life, you end up sitting on the sidelines. The only way to overcome fear is to face it. When you face your fears you realize that what your mind built up, wasn’t anything close to the reality of the situation.

32. Let Go of Control

The idea that you have control is a fallacy. Life is an adventure and is meant to be experienced as you flow with the ups and downs of life. The more you try to control, the more “pushy” you become and the only thing you will do, is push everything and everyone away.

31. Live in the Present Moment

29. Go with the Flow

When you are rigid its like trying to swim up river. You are going to struggle. When you are easy-going you’re flowing like water, letting whatever the day might bring, flow with you. Life flows, energy flows, music flows, dance flows, listen to the rhythm and the flow and dance with it.

10. Love Freely

By learning to love others freely we in turn are loving ourselves. Life is like looking into a mirror and every person, every teacher, is you. 1.Don’t Miss the Dance

Alan Watts believed that the true existence of the entire universe was a playful one. Without need or necessity, it isn’t going anywhere and it doesn’t have a destination that it ought to arrive at.

“In music, one doesn’t make the end of a composition, the point of it. If so, the best conductors would be the ones who played the fastest or those who only wrote finales. You would go to a concert to only here one crashing cord, because that’s the end. If you are dancing, you don’t aim at one spot in the room, because that is where you should arrive… the whole point of the dancing, is the dance.”- Alan Watts

10 unusual words for book lovers.

9 August is National Book Lovers Day, which is pretty much the best holiday ever. Not only do we get to celebrate books, but we get to celebrate the people who read books. Whether you’re reading at the gloaming (i.e. the best time of the day to read) or dawn, or in your bed or near the inglenook  – the undisputed best place to read in the winter – this post is for you. Here are ten unusual words that all book lovers should know.

1. tsundoku

Tsundoku is a Japanese word that has no direct synonym in English. It means, ‘the act of leaving a book unread after buying it, typically piling it up together with other such unread books.’ This may be similar to being buried under a pile of unread books, which is every book lover’s reality.

2. colophon

A colophon is the easiest way to recognize a publisher because it is a publisher’s emblem or imprint that can often be found on the title page or on the spine of a book. When a reader starts noticing the same colophon on all their favorite books they may realize this publisher appeals to their reading preferences and may follow future publications.

3. libricide

Although rarely used today, libricide—the ‘killing’ of a book—is the last thing any book lover wants to hear about. In the same vain, biblioclasm can make any book lover’s heart stop because it is the intentional destruction of books, or specifically of the Bible.

4. bibliotaph

Many readers identify as bibliotaphs, or people who bury their books by keeping them under lock and key. Bibliotaphs are often readers who hoard their books and protect them from others. Such habits may come from bibliolatry, or the extravagant admiration of a book, making readers want to protect their stories.

In all seriousness, books have to be protected from biblioklepts, even those who steal books unintentionally by forgetting to return them, because we just can’t have that.

5. princeps

The first edition or printing of a book is known as the princeps. Some princeps are worth a great deal both financially and emotionally; a recent example is the Harry Potter series. Serious book collectors may seek out incunabula, or early printed books (those prior to the year 1501), instead of concerning themselves with modern princeps.

6. bibliognost

This term refers to someone who knows books and bibliography. Taken from the root word biblio- combined with the Greek γνώστης,‘one who knows’, a bibliognost knows the minutiae of every page. This is one serious book lover!

7. hamartia

Perhaps one of the most gut-wrenching moments in a reading experience is a beloved character’s downfall. Hamartia refers specifically to a fatal flaw that leads to the downfall of a tragic hero or heroine. Hamartia is dominantly used in Aristotle’s Poetics to describe the destruction of heroes due to ignorance.

Some instances of hamartia are so serious that readers may engage in finifugal, which is shunning the end (of anything). Conveniently forgetting the ending of a book that dissatisfied you is a reader’s main coping mechanism when disappointed.

8. librocubilcultarist

Librocubicultarist hasn’t made its way into Oxford Dictionaries just yet, but it’s a common piece of slang in literary circles used to describe people who read in bed. This word is a product of the Latin liber ‘book’ and cubiculum ‘sleeping chamber’.

9. fascicle

A fascicle is a part or a number in a work published in installments. Notably, the OED was published in fascicles over the course of several decades. Today, this word is synonymous with describing a volume, or one of a number of books forming a related set or series.

10. scripturient

Although this word is rarely used today, it describes something any book lover is familiar with: an author. A scripturient is simply someone who has a passion for writing. In other words, this is a book lover’s favorite kind of person. And even more interestingly, scripturients tend to get their work done in scriptoriums, also known as a room set apart for writing (often found in monastery’s where manuscripts were copied). Way cooler than a personal office!

How can we be at peace when our world isn’t? There’s so much going on that can give us anxiety, from the state of the world to our own relationships. Here are a few things to remember when you feel the weight of the world on top of you.

  • We Are Evolving Spiritually:

A_Spiritual_Evolution1371642674As a human civilization we have come far. We were a baby civilization once with little scientific awareness. As an adolescent world we learned to master natural resources. As a maturing civilization we are now beginning to foresee our trajectory and taking stock of the harm we did so far.

The Age of Truth is within us. Our future science and technology could be far more spiritual and ethical than ever.

Let us forgive ourselves for our past mistakes and learn to move forward as a better and improved version of who we were.  Nothing is impossible so why not aim for the best and allow ourselves to come to harmony with nature. It is never too late to try.

  • There are Benevolent Beings wanting to Help:

835342-6-20110822135747-if-aliens-attack-blame-global-warmingThe entire universe is watching Earth. Beings from all over the cosmos are watching our transformation.

We are letting off so much light in the form of growth, information and awareness that it radiates throughout space.

There are many beings of love and many that follow the darkness. So many beings want to help us, they want direct contact with us but they know we are not ready.

Our collective consciousness is not at a point where physically seeing aliens wouldn’t cause us distress. They are easing into our energies, coming through as our own thoughts and subtly helping all of us along our paths.

  • We Create Our Reality:

Spiritual-EvolutionThere is no reason to take apocalyptic and doomsday theories as given just because of religious or scientific pessimism. Our reality is a projection of our minds and all our minds are interconnected.

A few positive people can have a lot more power to heal and change the world as compared to billions of unconscious individuals who think negatively.

So the next time someone paints a dark and dreary picture of the future of humanity or earth, why not use your mind to transform it into something phenomenally positive and believe in your power.

Life is made up of days, and if you focus on making each day beautiful – appreciating, enjoying and loving what is – in the end, you will have created a beautiful life. It’s that easy :)

Here are the things you should remind yourself daily, things that will most probably bring more sunshine into your life and more peace into your heart:

  • This moment is your life.

art-dress-fashion-flowy-girl-selena-gomez-favim-com-41453Today, here and now, is where your life is.

This moment is your life. And if you make a choice to immerse yourself fully into this moment – appreciating, enjoying and loving what is you will experience joy that you have never experienced before, and you will feel more alive than you have ever felt.

“Be happy for this moment. This moment is your life.” ~ Omar Khayyam

  • There is a time for everything.

There is a time for being alone and a time for being surrounded by the people you love; a time for joy and a time for sorrow; a time for being vigorous, and a time for being exhausted; a time for being safe, and a time for being in danger…

“A time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to tear down and a time to build,  a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak.” ~ Ecclesiastes 3:2-7.

There is a time for everything, and the more we learn to accept and embrace this truth, the more peace we will feel in our hearts and the easier it will become for us to deal with life’s many changes and challenges.

  • Each day is a new beginning, each morning is a new life.

The beautiful thing about life is that each morning it gives you a new chance, a new opportunity to start all over. To let go of your yesterdays and make a fresh new start in life. That’s how generous life is…

“Finish every day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities, no doubt crept in. Forget them as soon as you can, tomorrow is a new day.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

  • Nothing in life is yours to keep.

Everything in life is fleeting and impermanent. Everything changes, nothing ever stays the same, and even though we like to hold on to things, to own and possess as many things as possible, the truth of the matter is that nothing is ours to keep.

When the time comes for us to leave this physical world, we take nothing with us. We leave everything behind us, including our own bodies.

“You only lose what you cling to.” ~ Buddha

  • You are never given more than you can handle.

Adversity builds character, strength and maturity. Every experience, every interaction, no matter how bad it might seem, has the ability to shape you, to mold you, and to help you become the person you were born to be. And if life gives you “a lot” to deal with, it is only because it knows how powerful you truly are, and it wants you to discover the courage, the wisdom and the strength that lie deep within you.

  • You were born with wings. Learn to use them and fly!

There is so much strength, so much beauty, so much wisdom and so much power within you. Always has been and always will be.

And if you dare to believe in yourself as much as you would want others to believe in you, and if you dare to dream and live your life as if there were no limits to what you could do, be and have, then in time, you will discover that:

“You were born with potential. You were born with goodness and trust. You were born with ideals and dreams. You were born with greatness. You were born with wings. You are not meant for crawling, so don’t. You have wings. Learn to use them and fly.” ~ Rumi

  • What other people think of you is none of your business.

Lao Tzu said it best in the Tao Te Ching:”Care about people’s approval and you will be their prisoner.” Worrying about what other people think of you and adjusting your life based on their opinions is a recipe for stress, unhappiness, confusion and misery. Always remember that your life is yours to live, and you should live it your way without being too concerned with what “they” think.

  • Never neglect your path for another.

walking_aloneYou have your own path to walk upon, your unique purpose to fulfill, and no matter how tempting it might be to put your life on hold just because those around you are asking for it, you should never do it.

The relationship you have with your own soul, with your life purpose and with your path in life is the most important relationship in your life. This is a sacred relationship, and you should treat it as such.

“You are the source of all purity and impurity. No one purifies another. Never neglect your work for another’s, however great his need.

Your work is to discover your work and then with all your heart to give yourself to it.” ~Dhammapada

  • It is better to be alone than in bad company.

Surround yourself with wise, kind and loving people; people who live in truth and integrity. And “If for company you cannot find a wise and prudent friend who leads a good life, then, like a king who leaves behind a conquered kingdom, or like a lone elephant in the elephant forest, you should go your way alone.” ~ Dhammapada

  • You are a human being, not a human doing.stress

You are a human being, not a human doing and you need to make sure that you don’t allow your ego to trick you into thinking that who you are is not enough and that in order for you to “become somebody,” in order for you to prove your worth, you have TO DO more and more each day.

There’s nothing wrong in doing things, nothing wrong with working and creating all kinds of wonderful things, but when you begin to equate your self worth with how much you do, with how hard you work and how good you are at doing the things you do, then things might get out of balance.

“I am a human being, not a human doing. Don’t equate your self-worth with how well you do things in life. You aren’t what you do. If you are what you do, then when you don’t…you aren’t.” – Dr. Wayne Dyer

  • Who you are is enough.

Who you are is already enough, not because of how your life looks externally, but because of who you are internally. So don’t you even dare, not even for a second, to think otherwise.

“You alone are enough. You have nothing to prove to anybody.” ~ Maya Angelou
